5WK BEGINNERS/IMPROVERS HAND BUILDING – £220
LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2: Beginners (no or little experience); Improvers/Intermediates (1 or 2 courses done)
• AGE RANGE: 18+
• CLASS SIZE/TEACHERS/INFO: Max 5 students & 1 teacher.
• COST: £220 per person incl. all materials & firings. No hidden costs and you get to glaze and fire ALL your work.
You can pay in 3 instalments via PayPal.
• INCLUDES: All your materials/tools/aprons/firings.
• DAYS/TIMES: Thursday evenings 6.45-9pm.
This course is for both beginners and those with experience wanting to improve their skills.
LEVEL 1: BEGINNERS: We’ll show you the main hand building techniques such as Pinching, Coiling & Slabs. You will also be shown how to decorate using slips and techniques such as Sgraffito.
LEVEL 2: Those with previous experience we’ll be taking you to the next level of your journey.
During this course we’ll help you develop your own projects improving your techniques further. As well as introducing you to new decorative techniques. Stuck for ideas? Try one of our project cards instead and put your own stamp on it. The great thing is you can take your time as there is no hurry to complete a
project in one sitting.
• 4 consecutive Thursday evenings 6.45-9pm with an additional 2 and a quarter hour glazing session once the work has all been fired.
• Beginners over 4 weeks you will learn the main hand building techniques.
• Experienced hand builders over 4 weeks you will develop your own projects using already learnt techniques and introducing some new ones.
• Hand building techniques such as coiling, pinching, working with slabs used to make increasingly more complex work plus a look at techniques such as devil’s work & Nerikomi.
• You will have time to develop your own projects.
• Stuck for ideas? Use our projects to take you to the next level.
• The 5th week will be taken up with glazing all your work.

• WHY IS THE LAST CLASS 2-3 WEEKS AFTER WEEK 9? The reason for this is that your work needs to dry and then be fired up to bisque before it can be glazed. This usually takes between 2-3 weeks.
• REFUNDS: 20 full working days (Monday-Friday) for a full refund. Between 20 full working days & the start of the class in advance then you will only get a 50% refund if someone else can be found to replace you. We will always do our best to try and sell your ticket on. All refunds are minus Eventbrite fees which are non-refundable. Cancelations may be subject to an admin fee of £50. REFUNDS for groups of 3 or larger require 25 working days notice as it can be really difficult to sell on large numbers of tickets close to the date of the class. There are no transfers available for groups of 3 or larger.
• CHANGING DATES OF YOUR CLASS: To transfer to a different date you must give 20 working days notice. You are bound by the above refund terms. We only allow one transfer per ticket.
