We are looking for wheel throwing teachers who are competent to intermediate level and beyond to come and work in our vibrant and friendly studio.

We are looking for people with both experience in teaching and potters who would like to be trained to become a teacher.

We offer good pay (per hour incl of prep and cleaning time) and access to the studio for your own work including usage of our glazes and unlimited firings.

Class sizes are small: 6 students/2 teachers; 10 students/2-3 teachers.
So you will never be left to fend for yourself with loads of confused and frustrated students all trying to get your attention.

Our volunteer positions are a great way to learn about the workings and maintenance of a pottery studio while having free access to a workspace, recycled clay, extensive range of brush on and dipping glazes and unlimited firings.

We will help train you up with rounded pottery skills and, if you want, train you up to be a teacher.

In return we ask you to help with the general day to day running of the studio as well as slightly more glamorous stuff like mixing glazes and helping with the kilns.

Volunteer positions do require set amounts of hours in the studio per month including helping out with cleaning after a couple of classes. We appreciate that volunteers may well have other jobs and are happy to try and work round schedules.
