LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3:
IMPROVERS (Level 2 Minimum 10 hours throwing on the wheel)
INTERMEDIATES (Level 3 Minimum 18 hours throwing on the wheel)
• AGE RANGE: 18+
• CLASS SIZE/TEACHERS/INFO: Max 6 students & 1 teacher*.
*Please note that there may be two teachers for some of the classes.
• COST: £200 per person incl. all materials & firings to bisque. No hidden costs. If you do want to glaze your work there is a charge for this.
You can pay in 3 instalments via PayPal.
• INCLUDES: All your materials/tools/aprons/firings to bisque.
• DAYS/TIMES: Saturdays 10.30am-4.30pm.
LEVEL 2: Improvers (those who have done 1 or 2 courses with 10 hours throwing on the wheel)
Finished in the beginners and ready for the next step? We don’t believe that your only option should be to repeat the beginners course. So, for that reason, we are introducing these new stand alone Saturday courses to improve specific skills.
Our Improvers courses are aimed purely at those that have completed beginners courses. You must have 10 hours throwing experience (turning classes not included in the 10 hours). We will look at centring and pulling up of larger weights as well as larger bowls and throwing off the hump in other classes getting you ready to go onto the intermediates classes or a supported membership.
LEVEL 3: Intermediates (those who have done 2 or 3 courses with 18 hours throwing on the wheel). Minimum centring ability to 1.5kgs
So you’ve done beginners and a couple of improvers courses. Not quite ready for a supported membership then these are the courses for you. These stand alone Saturday courses are designed to fast track your skill levels.
With classes such as throwing larger in two sections, throwing off the hump and different types of plates you will be well set-up to confidently take on a membership and work independently.
*We offer 2 two hour practice sessions after each course. Held on Saturdays, these are untutored and charged at £30 for each session plus charge for clay by weight. A great way to practice what you’ve just learnt!
CLASSES ARE FOR ADULTS 18+.
• LEVEL 2: Minimum experience requirement 10 hours throwing on the wheel
• LEVEL 3: Minimum experience requirement 18 hours throwing on the wheel (throwing large in 2 parts requires 22 hours throwing on the wheel)
• Improving techniques
• Looking at centring progressively larger pieces in all classes
• Improving opening & pulling techniques in all classes
• Helping you to reach your individual goals
• Maximum 6 students in a class
• Last previous course must have been taken no longer than 6-9 months prior to start of these courses
• 2 x two hour practice sessions available after each course charged at £30 per session. Clay charged by weight

• WHY IS GLAZING NOT INCLUDED IN THIS COURSE? The reason for this is that the best way to improve your pulling up is to take a look at what you have already done. This is best viewed in cross section by cutting the pot in half. That means that you end up with very few pots in one piece!!
• REFUNDS: 20 full working days (Monday-Friday) for a full refund. Between 20 full working days & the start of the class in advance then you will only get a 50% refund if someone else can be found to replace you. We will always do our best to try and sell your ticket on. All refunds are minus Eventbrite fees which are non-refundable. Cancelations may be subject to an admin fee of £50. REFUNDS for groups of 3 or larger require 25 working days notice as it can be really difficult to sell on large numbers of tickets close to the date of the class. There are no transfers available for groups of 3 or larger.
• CHANGING DATES OF YOUR CLASS: To transfer to a different date you must give 20 working days notice. You are bound by the above refund terms. We only allow one transfer per ticket.
