Hello 2018.
Three weeks of deep cleaning and the main studio is looking great! While the open sessions are taking a couple of weeks to get going, there’s no rest for the wicked on the 6 week beginners throwing on the potter’s wheel course which started last week on the 9th!
This is week two and Tom, Nicola, Thomas and Jo are beginning to get to grips with the technique of throwing and doing really well. By the end of the class I was beginning to feel a bit redundant!
It’s always a thrilling moment, no matter how long I’ve been teaching, to see the moment when it all just clicks for the student and they can just do it from start to finish without my help. You can see the results for yourself! Can’t wait for next week when they start to learn to turn bases and pull handles.
Very interesting information!Perfect just what I was searching for!
Hi Louna,
I no longer run a 6 week course. It is now an 8 week course and takes in extra practice as well as making a plate, next one starting in January.
Details for booking are on the classes and courses page. Hopefully see you in January.
