4 WEEK BEGINNERS FOUNDATION INTRO TO POTTERY COURSE
This brilliant new beginners foundation 4 week course is to help get you started on your pottery journey. During the course you will be given an introduction to various pottery techniques including throwing on the wheel and hand building. Adults 18+ only.
• You will learn the basics of throwing and turning
• You will learn basic hand building techniques such as coiling & pinching as well as decorating with stained slips.
• This is designed for those who are not sure what course they want to do and are keen to get an insight as to what it’s like to throw on the wheel and hand build before committing to a longer course.
• After this short course you can specialise and book onto our 8 week beginners throwing course (please note that you will not be able to go straight onto the beginners+/intermediate course).
• Alternatively, if you want to learn more about both the wheel and hand building working with specific projects and additional techniques, you can book onto our 10 weeks combined course to become a better all rounder.
Wednesdays 6.45-9pm/Sundays 10.30am-12.45pm.
£185 inclusive all materials & firings. There are no hidden costs. You will be able to get all the work you make fired.
This class is not suitable for pregnant women unless you are only going to do hand building. You will need to contact us in advance to let us know.

10 week beginners & all levels general combined course
This new beginners and all levels combined hand building and throwing on the wheel course will give you a great grounding in pottery if you are a beginner and take you to the next level if you already have some experience. Adults 18+ only.
• 9 consecutive Wednesday evenings 6.45-9pm with an additional 2 and a quarter hour glazing session once the work has all been fired.
• A less structured course than some of our others. It allows you the freedom to explore and develop at your own pace.
• You will be taught to throw on the wheel and hand building techniques such as coiling, pinching, working with slabs & nerikomi.
• You will have time to up your skills on either the wheel, hand building or a bit of both as well as developing your own projects.
• Improvers/intermediates will work with the tutors to develop your skills using the techniques you are most interested in developing your own projects and working from our set projects.
• Finishing with a glaze class once all your work has been fired.
Wednesday evenings 6.45-9pm
£335 incl of all materials & firings
There are no restrictions on how much clay you can use or how many pots you can fire. No nasty surprises at the end!

Please note that if you are unable to make one of the dates there is a catch-up fee of £60 for a 2 hour class.
