The ultimate 6 week beginners & beginners+ Intro to Pottery Course

The ultimate beginners and beginners+ Intro to Pottery course

This course is suitable for beginners, those who have some experience in pottery already via another course right up to intermediate level.

Over 6 weeks beginners will learn to throw basic shapes on the potter’s wheel, turn bases, make and attach handles as well as learning handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling and building with slabs.

For more advanced learners we will look at your experience on an individual level to work out a plan to help you achieve your goals and get to the next level be it on the wheel, handbuilding or a bit of both.

You will decorate your work using stained slips and techniques such as Sgraffito, the art of carving patterns onto the surface of the clay as well as coming back to glaze your work in week 6.
